Adding a Depth D-Man

There have been many undrafted players who have had success in the National Hockey League. The LA Kings have made a deal with undrafted defenseman Kurtis Macdermid from Sauble Beach, Quebec. Macdermid signed a one year two way deal with the Kings worth $650,000.

Macdermid had a lengthily career in the Ontario Hockey League playing with the Owen Sound Attack and the Erie Otters and played in over 50 playoff games during his junior tenure. Spending the last two seasons in the AHL, Macdermid has yet to make his NHL debut with the Kings.
