RFA DeAngelo gets deal done ahead of season!

The New York Rangers are done dealing with restricted free agents.

On Friday, the Rangers announced that they have agreed to terms with restricted free agent defenseman Tony DeAngelo.

TSN Senior Hockey Reporter Frank Seravalli reports that the deal is for one year with a cap hit of $925,000. It is the same amount teammate Brendan Lemieux got last week with the Blue Shirts, Seravalli notes.

The 23-year-old took part in 61 games with the Rangers last season, and tallied four goals and 26 assists along with a plus-six rating and 77 penalty minutes.

DeAngelo came to New York - along with the first round pick in 2017 which became Lias Andersson - from the Arizona Coyotes in return for goalie Antti Raanta and forward Derek Stepan. He kicks off his third season with the Rangers. He was selected No. 19 overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Noe that DeAngelo is signed, it now leaves seven restricted free agents still without deals including Patrik Laine, Kyle Connor, Matthew Tkachuk and Mikko Rantanen.
