One team has lost of their talented young rookies to injury, and it's severe enough that there's some belief it will bleed in to next season.

On Friday the Rangers announced that defenseman Oscar Lindberg has undergone successful surgery to repair his hip. Lindberg will need a massive 6 months to recover fully from that surgery, leaving some to believe he will miss some games in October.

Lindberg played in his first NHL this season, and this kind of major injury to a sensitive area of the body when it comes to professional athletes, also raises questions about his long term health.
