Rumor: Are the Winnipeg Jets shopping Matthieu Perreault for a defenseman?

If the price is right, they should definitely explore the option. 

Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque said earlier in May that Alex Galchenyuk and Nathan Beaulieu will be traded during the course of the summer. Laraque was one of the first people to predict PK Subban’s trade, last year. 

The Montreal Canadiens management reportedly had its doubts about both players’ behavior on and off the ice over the past few months. It may be one of the reasons why both players have been the subject of various trade rumors.

EOTP are reporting the Winnipeg Jets might be interested, If the price is right, in trading Mathieu Perreault and a possible draft pick to acquire Nathan Beaulieu.

Nathan Beaulieu racked up 28 points in 74 games last season. GM Marc Bergevin openly said that he is “at a crossroads,” and that “the clock was ticking."
