Rumor: Oilers and Isles prepping another trade?

The Strome/Eberle deal might have just been the start…

In his latest column for the Toronto Star, divisive columnist Steve Simmons takes a look at the Edmonton Oilers’ current situation with Ryan Strome and wonders if the team might not go back to the well to address some of their goal scoring issues.

Specifically, Simmons names one player who he feels the Oilers should put in an offer on: Josh Ho-Sang.

“I’m Peter Chiarelli, I’m calling Garth Snow to see what it would cost to get Joshua Ho-Sang. Edmonton needs some speed and skill go along with McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.”

Ho-Sang could certainly be an option, and could likely be had for the right return, even more so now that he’s been demoted to the AHL. But the youngster is still a top-prospect and likely won’t come cheap. New York Islanders GM Garth Snow is obviously reluctant to let go of such a talented young player, but both he and Oilers GM Pete Chiarelli have done business in the past, could they hook up again?

Stay tuned.
