There is a hefty rivalry between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Boston Bruins on the ice, but it seems to be picking up on the management floor too. According to Jimmy Murphy, the trade speculations surrounding Colorado Avalanche forward Matt Duchene has picked up over the weekend.

The Pens and the Bruins could be looking to square off to land the centerman, who could make an impact in both lineups.

Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford was clear about looking to add a centerman to his team since the start of training camp. Duchene knows Sidney Crosby and could be tempted to join the defending champions.

As for the Bruins, they made an interesting roster move Saturday, calling up defenseman Jakub Zboril to play in tonight's game. They could be looking to show him off to the Avalanche and put him in a deal to land Duchene.

Stay tuned!
