There haven't been a tremendous amount of rumors surrounding the Vancouver Canucks this offseason, likely due to the fact that many believe the Canucks are in a transition phase as they move towards a rebuild.

However there is now one rumor connecting the Canucks to a veteran goaltender, and given that it comes from Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, this one seems like a safe bet.

According to Friedman, the Canucks are likely to acquire veteran goaltender Anders Nilsson with Friedman predicting that is in fact the location where Nilsson settles this summer.

While he played a backup role, Nilsson is coming off a strong season with the Buffalo Sabres where he posted a .923 save percentage over his 26 appearances for the Sabres.
