The Minnesota Wild may have just caught a huge break.

Normally there isn't a ton of excitement surrounding a fifth round draft selection, however after 20-year-old forward Kirill Kaprizov put up 20 goals in the Kontinental Hockey League last season, there are a lot of people interested in him.

Initially it was reported that Kaprizov had agreed to a three-year deal with CSKA Moscow of the KHL, however Russian hockey reported Aivis Kalnins is now reporting that Kaprizov has stated he has not signed any deal as of yet, and that Minnesota remains an option.

With all the confusion it's unclear at this time what exactly Kaprizov's contract status is, however with 20 goals and 22 assists for 42 points in 49 KHL games last season, there's no doubt fans in Minnesota are hoping he comes to North America soon.
