Sabres lose McCabe for entire season, maybe next season
Ouch. More bad news for the sad sack Sabres.

This just in, the Buffalo Sabres have announced that defenceman Jake McCabe will be out of the team's lineup for six to eight months due to a knee injury.
Check it out:
Here is the play in question where McCabe suffered the injury:
Suffice it to say this is a brutal turn of events for McCabe and for the Sabres. Neither he nor the team have gotten off to the best start this season and with today's injury announcement McCabe can pretty well pack things up for the season. In fact, if McCabe take the full eight months to recover he'll likely miss the opening of the 2021-22 season, as well. And because the 27 year old is in the final season of his contract this could very well signal the end of his time with the Sabres organization. Yet another tough pill to swallow for fans of this franchise.
