The Ottawa Senators have ended up in the second seed of the Atlantic division and will be facing the Boston Bruins in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.  The Sens have a very positive history when facing the Bruins this season. They have won all four of their games this season against them (4-0-0).

Ottawa on average allows –0.01 fewer goals against the Boston squad per game. Statistics also show that the Sens have a high home winning percentage. This is extremely positive as they have home ice advantage for the first two games! With only two more shutouts than Boston this season, this match up will definitely be something to watch.

Here is the schedule to watch these round one games:

Game 1 – Wednesday, April 12, 7:00 PM vs. Bruins

Game 2 – Saturday, April 15, 3:00 PM vs. Bruins

Game 3 – Monday, April 17, 7:00 PM @ Bruins

Game 4 – Wednesday, April 19, 7:30 PM @ Bruins

*Game 5 – Friday, April 21, TBD vs. Bruins

*Game 6 – Sunday, April 23, TBD @ Bruins

*Game 7 – Wednesday, April 26, TBD vs. Bruins

Ottawa has 98 points this season (44-27-10) only three points ahead of the Bruins who stand at 95 (44-31-7).  Though history shows that the Sens dominate when facing the Bruins, it will still be a close one.
