The Ottawa Senators are coming off a great 5-2 win against the San Jose Sharks last Sunday. The home win was only their 3rd win of the season. The Sens have yet to win a game away from home this season.
That is exactly what they will try to do today. The Senators are set to face the Bruins in Boston and will work hard to earn their first road victory of the season.
The Ottawa lineup will be identical to the won that faced the Sharks last week. Bobby Ryan, one of the Sens' highest paid players, is set to be a healthy scratch for a second game in a row.
D-man Thomas Chabot is on a hot streak with 6 points in his last 5 games. He will once again form the first defensive pair alongside Nikita Zaitsev.
Netminder Craig Anderson will start ahead of Anders Nilsson once again.
Here is the projected lineup for the Senators ahead of this evening's game in Boston according to NHL.com correspondent Matt Kalman:
Forwards:
Brady Tkachuk - Logan Brown - Anthony Duclair
Vladislav Namestnikov - Chris Tierney - Tyler Ennis
Nick Paul - Jean-Gabriel Pageau - Connor Brown
Filip Chlapik - J.C. Beaudin - Scott Sabourin
Defensemen:
Thomas Chabot - Nikita Zaitsev
Erik Brannstrom - Ron Hainsey
Mark Borowiecki - Dylan DeMelo
Goaltenders:
Craig Anderson
Anders Nilsson
Bobby Ryan, Cody Goloubef and Mikkel Boedker are the healthy scratches for tonight while Colin White and Artem Anisimov are still out with injuries.
The Bruins lineup will feature the red-hot Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak line. The Sens will have to work very hard in order to get their first W of the season as the visiting team.
It should be a great hockey game.
