A lot of teams seem to be suffering late season injuries and the latest victims are the Dallas Stars.

The Stars have lost their best defenseman, John Klingberg, and while it initially sounded like the injury was a very minor one, the latest reports seem to indicate he will in fact be missing some time.

According Stars beat writer Mark Stepneski, head coach Lindy Ruff has confirmed that Klingberg suffered a lower-body injury that appears to be some type of muscular injury. While Ruff continued to insist it would be a short-term injury, he did admit to Stepneski that Klingberg would miss some time.

"Short-term it looks like a little bit of time. It's sort of a muscular thing it looks like. We don't know exactly but it's lower-body if that helps you."

Obviously it goes without saying that since the Stars themselves don't know the extent of the injury yet, there has been no timetable provided for Klingberg's recovery.
