Subban gives a lengthy and thoughtful answer to the rumors that he’ll be traded this offseason

The Nashville Predators bowed out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs earlier this week, losing Game 6 of their opening round series to the Dallas Stars and dropping the series 4-2. It’s a second consecutive disappointing season for the Preds following their run to the 2017 Stanley Cup Final and it has hockey fans wondering if there’s a shakeup to come this offseason in Nashville. 

Superstar defenseman P.K. Subban has had his name dropped in just about every trade rumor for the past calendar year, but there’s no way Preds general manager David Poile would move him, is there?

Subban himself responded to the rumors earlier today and gave a surprisingly thoughtful answer to the assembled media.

Regardless of how you feel about Subban’s on-ice play, you have to admit that he has a way with words and it’s clear that he has a genuine love for his team, his teammates and the city of Nashville. This isn’t going to make Poile’s job any easier…
