Tonight was a special game for the Rangers, as they played inside the Detroit's Joe Louis Arena for the last time. As the second oldest arena in the league, the place is home to lots of memories, good and bad.

The Rangers are basically assured to reach the playoffs, but they still need to be a lot more consistent if they expect to win the Cup. The last few weeks have been up and down, which was a bit worrisome. Granted, the house is not on fire, but things need to be settled quick for the Spring dance.

Captain McDonagh took care of lighting the team up with this shorthanded goal very late in the first.

Antti Raanta did his part too, with saves such as this one.

To top it off, Derek Stepan got out of his slump, with his first goal in 23 games!

Overall, a very exciting game that will hopefully spark the team to reach the next level just in time for the playoffs!
