The Montreal Canadiens made a big pick in the draft. 

The Canadiens have desperately needed a quality center for quite some time, and with a little bit of luck in the National Hockey League Entry Draft they got just that. 

While many expected Ryan Poehling to go earlier in the draft, the talented young center fell to #25 and there was no doubt he would be scooped up when the Canadiens came up to the podium.

Poehling was dominant at the Under-18 winning a gold medal and picking up 6 points in just 4 games.
