Foreign players are not a rarity in the National Hockey League. Australian players, however, have never played in the NHL, but one youngster hopes to become the first-ever.

Washington Capitals’ 89th overall pick in 2014, Nathan Walker, is looking to make history as per NHL.com

The 5’8” 186-lbs speedy left wing had 17 goals and 41 points in 73 games last season with the AHL’s Hershey Bears, and insists that there’s more to his game than the occasional goal and pace:

“I think that’s one of the biggest attributes in my game, is my speed. I like to be a so-called pest out there and try to under guys’ skin,” he told CSN Mid-Atlantic.
