As part of his annual prospect analysis for ESPN, super scout and NHL prospect expert Corey Pronman recently graded the NHL’s top 100 prospects for 2017-18. With newcomers like Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews dominating the NHL at such a young age, more and more teams are rushing rookies into their lineup in an effort to speed up development.

So, which players are we most likely to see on the big stage next season? Take a look at Pronman’s list of the Top 10 prospects for 2017-18:

  1. Clayton Keller - Arizona Coyotes
  2. Nico Hischier - New Jersey Devils
  3. Mathew Barzal - New York Islanders
  4. Charlie McAvoy - Boston Bruins
  5. Nolan Patrick - Philadelphia Flyers
  6. Dylan Strome - Arizona Coyotes
  7. Alex Nylander - Buffalo Sabres
  8. Tyson Jost - Colorado Avalanche
  9. Gabe Villardi - Los Angeles Kings
  10. Casey Mittelstadt - Buffalo Sabres

What do you think of Pronman’s list? It’s hard to argue with the kids included, but what about the order? Keller as the top rookie? Should McAvoy be higher on the list? And what about Strome? The kid can’t seem to buy a break.
