A new KHL player is about to make the leap to the NHL - and fans and teams are getting excited about this one.

According to reporter Andrew Zadarnowski of Habs Eyes On The Prize, star forward Anton Burdasov is expected to leave Russia for North America for the upcoming season.

Zadarnowski revealed that three NHL teams are currently competing for his services and have made the 28-year-old an offer. Rumor has it that he would have already made his choice and that his decision will be announced soon.

The 6-foot-2, 234-pound power forward tied his career high, registering 31 points this year, while upping his aggressive play, going from 18 PIM last year to 114 this season.

A monster on the ice!

He is not only big, the guy is quick and despite playing in two games during Salavat Yulaev Ufa’s long playoff run due to injuries, Burdasov is a terribly creative player. He can do so many things around the net; no wonder teams are battling to get him signed.

The Hockey News reported ealiers this offseason that Philadelphia Flyers were one of the teams expected to pursue Burdasov. We will find out soon where he has decided to sign and get his career started in the NHL.
