The Penguins are the winner of the Stanley Cup for a second year in a row and obviously this amazing feat comes with crazy stories. These guys are a very tight crew and sometimes the attachment to the group comes higher on the list than you very own well being.

It's exactly what happened with Nick Bonino, who revealed last night the extent of his injury. According to Sportscenter, Bonino suffered a broken shinbone on game 2 of the series following a blocked shot on P.K. Subban. For the whole human race, a broken tibia means you won't walk normally for a good two months at least, but Bonino is no normal human to begin with. He played a total of 11:52 of hockey with that broken bone in his body.

He suffered the injury in the second period of game 2, but the craziest thing is that he still played the third period of that very game! Are you kidding? Playing through pain is one thing, but playing with a broken limb is pure insanity. Of course, he missed the following games, but he laced the skates yesterday at the end of the game to lift the Cup with his friends.

What a warrior that guy is!
