The Chicago Blackhawks and the Toronto Maple Leafs have made a trade on Sunday night, trading a couple of players in the minor leagues for each other.
The Blackhawks acquired Richard Panik from the Toronto Maple Leafs for Jeremy Morin in a straight up deal.
Panik, 24, was consistent in the NHL last year, and played in 76 games with the Leafs on the season. However, he hasn't played a single game for Toronto this season. He does however have eight goals and 24 points in 32 games in the AHL this season.
Morin, 24, has had an up-and-down career thus far, and has nine goals and 22 points in 28 games with AHL Rockford. The 24-year-old was traded to Columbus on Dec. 14, 2014 before being reacquired by Chicago in the Brandon Saad trade earlier this year.
