Marian Gaborik is apparently on the market. The Los Angeles Kings are trying to get as much as possible for him, but the price might not be right at all.

One could understand the cold market for him. With injuries plaguing the skilled forward, it's no gimme as to how many games he would be able to deliver under an hypothetical new team. Above all, his pace is going in the wrong direction, with a minuscule 13 points in 38 games thus far. He's been benched as a healthy scratch a few times this year, which is not a good sign either.

With 4 years remaining on his contract after this season, the 35 years old is a hard sell. At 4,875M$ a year, that's a lot to fork in the hope of a few great flashes.

However, a contending team seeking experience and skills could be interested. Gaborik can be useful in many specialized roles, such as Power play and offensive zone puck drops.
