Wings potential moves as march 1st is coming 

It's that time of the year when each and every teams are evaluating if they're buyers or sellers by the trade deadline. Let's be honest about the Wings' chances to participate to the playoffs as they're close to 10%. However, some players like Thomas Vanek seem to believe in their chances to beat the odds. Keep in mind that Vanek names has been around few rumors so far as he could be a good rental for contending teams.

Met by Helene St. James from the Detroit Free Press, Vanek said he's "focused on making it hard for Kenny to do something & hopefully stay here and make a run with his team". 

When asked more precisely on the trade rumors regarding his case if by all means the Detroit Red Wings don't participate to the playoffs, Vanek replied “I signed a one-year deal, so it can happen. I'm focused on putting a couple more wins together and get ourselves in the picture."

If by march 1st, the Wings aren't in the playoffs portrait,Thomas Vanek could be sacrificed to get good assets for the future.
