It’s been a few days now since the Winnipeg Jets traded defenseman Jacob Trouba to the New York Rangers in exchange for Neal Pionk and a first round pick, but Jets fans are still busy sorting out their feelings on the transaction.
The 25 year old blueliner put up a career high 50 points in 78 games with the Jets this past season and is in line to receive a handsome raise on the $5.5 million annually he earned in 2018-19. It was clear that he was ready to move on this offseason but that doesn’t mean that Trouba didn’t enjoy his time with the Jets organization.
In fact, Trouba sent out a heartfelt goodbye message to Jets fans on social media earlier today.
Check it out:
All the best, Jacob. Here’s hoping he can take his game to the next level.
