Uncertainty remains about Jagr's future in Florida.

Jaromir Jagr's performance despite his age is plainly amazing. How could a 45 years old dude be so competitive with kids half his age running around the ice? Jagr's work habits are no stranger to his longevity. He had some tremendous success in Florida, but according to rumors his contractual situation might be a bit less certain than previously thought.

Obviously from a Panthers' perspective, makes total sense to wait until after the expansion draft to sign Jagr for protection list reasons

Jagr had a one year, 4M$ contract with the Panthers and he will be UFA comes July 1st. Of course, the Panthers couldn't sign him before the Vegas expansion draft, but in the meantime he could be tempted on talking with other teams interesting in his services for next year. He won't be looking for a multiyear contract due to his age, but he could had a huge experience touch to many teams currently rebuilding.

In the end, there is probably a deal between the Jagr's clan and the Panthers to sign a deal comes July 1st, but not before. However, we've seen bigger surprises in the past and anything could happen!
