UPDATE: Blackhawks Defensive Pairings

Necessary changes that could be used for tomorrow night.

Today the Chicago Blackhawks went to work as they hit the ice for practice at Johnny's IceHouse West in anticipation of tomorrow nights’ game versus the New Jersey Devils.

There has been no official speculation as to what the possible defensive pairings might be but a few changes are definitely going to happen before the start of tomorrow's match-up.

First off we are missing two defensemen due to injuries which include Trevor van Riemsdyk and rookie Gustav Forsling.  Last game Forsling hit the ice on the third line with Michal Rozsival but since his injury another player would have to take his place.

Perhaps Michal Kempny can line up with Rozsival on the third line or maybe we can get Niklas Hjalmarsson back on the first line with Duncan Keith while Brian Campbell goes back to the third line.

The options are limitless, and with no sneak peak as to what coach Joel Quenneville has in mind, nothing can be confirmed at the moment.

All we know as Blackhawk fans is that we need a defensive unit that can crush the PK and open up the momentum for the offensive groupings to push back for some high scoring action.

Watch the Chicago Blackhawks attack as they take on the New Jersey Devils tomorrow night at the Prudential Center at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
