UPDATE: Good news, everyone!

Adam McQuaid has been cleared to play yesterday. Today, he has his season debut against the Minnesota Wild after missing the first five games of the season.

If you recall correctly, McQuaid was injured during a preseason bout and didn’t lace up his skates since. Tonight, however, he’s back in the lineup. With his return, the Boston Bruins have sent Rob O’Gara back to providence.

McQuaid will be a breath of fresh air for the Bruins’ defense, as his intelligent play and hockey vision will be beneficial to the blue line. The Bruins should take any help they can get, as both their official roster goalies are out with injuries.
