UPDATE: Injured Player Report

Andrew Desjardins of the Chicago Blackhawks was placed on IR early on in the season when he blocked a powerful shot while facing the Nashville Predators.

Since then not much has been announced concerning Desjardins and his lower body injury.  It was said that he would be out for about 4-6 weeks. It has so far been about three weeks since the injury initially occurred.

Yesterday it was officially announced that the veteran star should be expected to be back on the ice in the next day or so.

This is great news since the Blackhawks can use his experience out there to fend off the PK and work some magic on offense.

Cross your fingers for Andrew Desjardins to recover quickly and join the Blackhawks hopefully next week versus the Calgary Flames.
