Must see: Andersen makes a sprawling glove save for one of his best of the year.

The Carolina Hurricanes got off to a strong start against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday night but it could have been much worse if goaltender Frederik Andersen had not made some big saves. 

In fact during the final four minutes of the games very first period Andersen made one of his very best saves of the season when he denied Hurricanes defenseman Noah Hanifin on what looked like a golden opportunity.

Andersen appeared to already be down and out on the play with a ton of traffic in front of his net and in his crease, but he managed to maintain his focus and snagged Hanifin's shot out of mid air with a beautiful sprawling glove save.
