Watch top college prospect Jimmy Vesey score his first in the NHL.

With all the hype around Jimmy Vesey this summer many were looking for him to have a big time impact as a member of the New York Rangers.

On Monday night Vesey did in fact have an impact when he recorded the first goal of his National Hockey League career after some great passes from his teammates gave him a golden opportunity and he capitalized on it.

The goal is Vesey's first point as a Ranger after going pointless in his first two games, and the hope is that the scoring trend will continue for the former Hobey Baker Award winner.
