There is no love between Edmonton Oilers’ Evander Kane and Minnesota Wild’s Ryan Hartman.
But the latter got some love from an unexpected source after he was fined $4,250, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Unsportsmanlike Conduct during last night’s game against Edmonton.
It all started when Hartman’s teammate Kirill Kaprizov, who assisted both his goals last night, was cross-checked by Kane. The Oilers’ gritty forward was quickly surrounded by five Wild players before Hartman jumped at him during a scrap. That fight ended with Hartman flipping off Kane with a look of rage rarely seen on the ice.
Both earned roughing minors and 10-minute misconducts.
On Wednesday, moments after the fine was announced, Kane’s ex-wife Anna Kane documented in her Instagram stories how she sent money to Hartman to help him pay for the fine, along with the caption Stay blessed.
We know how messy things are between Evander and Anna Kane: last week, his estranged wife published some disturbing stories on her Instagram account this evening, outright accusing Evander of domestic abuse.
Without going through Kane’s entire history over the past calendar year, just know that he has filed for bankruptcy, been accused of betting on his own games, was suspended for faking vaccination records, was kicked off the San Jose Sharks for leaving the team and has gone through an ugly, messy divorce.
Anna has been trying to get revenge, though we can’t say she’s going about it the right way. Though this is hilarious!
